Having problems?
We have done everything possible to try and ensure the trouble-free purchase and download of our games. The first thing to check if you are having problems is that you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (5.0 at the time of writing)

If after downloading the introduction, you are asked by your computer which program you want to open the file with, this means that you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, or that it is not properly installed. In either case go to Adobe's website and download the latest version.
If the PDF file opens, but is not displayed correctly (missing words/pictures characters etc.) then you probably do not have the latest version of the Reader. Again, visit Adobe to solve this problem.
Once you have entered the password and started to download the game, the pages will appear one at a time. You must wait for all of the pages to download before you start to print the game, otherwise you will be left with parts of the file missing. This should take no longer than about 15 minutes with a 56k modem, depending on how busy the site is at the time. Occasionally, you may become disconnected in the course of a download, which unfortunately means you will have to start over again.
If you are using internet explorer and are having problems downloading a game, try right-clicking the link to the game and choosing "save target as" from the menu. Choose a place to save the game to and then click OK. Once the game is downloaded, go to the place you saved the game to and double-click on the file to open it.
Once you have purchased the game, a password will be emailed to you by our secure Protx server. Although we aim to have the password delivered to you within a few minutes, it can take up to 24 hours for it to actually arrive.When entering your password, remember that it is CASE SENSITIVE and should be a combination of letters and numbers. Your password is NOT your Protx reference number. If you ordered the game a long time ago, your password may no longer be valid, for security reasons.
Our games are compatible with any of the following operating systems: Win95, Win98,WinMe, Win2000, NT 4.0 (with service pack 3 or later), Macintosh, Apple system 7.1.2 or later, Solaris 2.3 (SPARC & INTEL), HP-UX 9.05, IRIX 5.3, OSF/1 4.0, Linux kernel 2.0, AIX 4.1.
What are the games all about?
I am afraid that to answer this we simply have to send you back to the web site, as the whole site is designed to explain and (of course) sell each game individually.
Does it matter if I don't yet know exactly how many people are coming to the party? No, it does not matter - we provide you with a table showing which characters to use in what circumstances. However - your group MUST be in the parameters of the numbers suggested. So - if you have 10 guests then no, we do NOT recommend trying to adapt a game.
Can I edit the game or make it into a Word file?
Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, we cannot allow the editing of our games, or their conversion between file formats. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
I want to run the game commercially/on multiple occasions/as part of my business.
You must buy a game with a commercial license, or contact Murder Mystery Games to discuss your plans for the game.
Can you put the game in the post for me?
The purpose of this site is to be automated. We have tried hard to make it automated (which cost quite a bit of money for a small group like us). So, we basically don't like to print the game off and post it out to you. Of course, we also do not want to upset our customers, so we will do so if necessary - but would charge extra for printing, postage and packaging.
Can you give me advice on costumes/menus/acting etc.?
The whole point of this site is to sell games that are easy to run entirely by yourself. If you want professional assistance to run a murder mystery, contact Initiative Unlimited, our sister company, who have 10 years experience in running murder mystery games for some of the world's largest corporations.
